ARTCO is proud to offer a complete selection of the Japanese air-burning torches and accessories, made by JPLampwork in Japan. We carry several size torches, and all of the accessories to make your bead making experience a pleasant and productive one.
All of these torches require a high volume, low pressure source of compressed air. We have listed the air requirement for each torch in Liters Per Minute (lpm). We also carry several very quiet air pumps suitable for this application.
The standard torch comes in two versions: the 'wide' flame and the 'focused' flame. The 'wide' flame version has a gentle wide flame, perfect for working the softer Japanese glass. The 'focused' flame version has a more concentrated flame, and can be used with both the softer Japanese glass, and to a lesser extent, and regular soda-lime glass, such as Moretti, Effetre, Bullseye, Vetrofond, etc. Please note that working these glasses with these torches will be slower than with an Oxy/Gas torch.

This torch has two air controls on the right side. The smaller one controls the air in the center of the torch, making a concentrated flame. The larger one controls the outer air, making a wider flame. This torch is about 150% stronger than the B10, and is suitable for coreformed vessels. Complete with a heavy, cast iron base.

Rod pre-heater

This is made out of heavy gage steel. Put this fully adjustable tool near your torch, and lay your glass rod in the V-shape troughs, allowing them to overhang the end. Adjust the holder until the glass rod ends are above the flame. Now, all your glass will be pre-heated and ready for immediate use. No need to wave your glass frantically above the flame, hoping it won't pop. No need for electric rod-heaters taking up room on your bench.
