Ed has been working with hot glass since 1984. While in grad-school (he received his M.F.A. from Ohio State University in 1990), Ed enjoyed teaching the beginning students. Seeing a need to write down what was being taught, he wrote his first book, "Ed's Big Handbook of Glassblowing" (sorry, no longer in print) in 1993.
In 1997, Ed released "Advanced Glassworking Techniques". In 1998, "Handbook" evolved into Ed's current book, "Beginning Glassblowing". In 2006, Ed released his latest, "The Glassworker's Bathroom Reader", a funny collection of the trials and tribulations of the life of glassworkers.
Ed's books have a unique look to them: he hand writes and draws every page. Check them out for yourself.
